Hungarian Hot Wax Chilli Seeds (AGM) |
|
Hungarian Hot Wax produces long conical shaped pods with pointed ends that reach 13cm long by 3cm wide. They mature from green through to pale yellow and finely ripen to red but are generally eaten from the yellow stage. They get hotter as they age and have a rating of between 2,500-8,000 on the Scoville Scale so are of mild –medium heat.
Hungarian ‘Hot Wax’ reaches a height of 1m but is one of the easiest & quickest chilli plants to grow & produce pods in the UK climate and that earned it an AGM award from the RHS.
The fruits are great stuffed with cheese & herbs and then cooked in a little olive oil in the oven or are lovely raw sliced thinly into a salad.
