Rocoto Yellow Chilli Seeds |
|
Rocoto Yellow is a very hot pepper that measures 3.5-5cm long and 3cm wide and looks like a miniature sweet pepper. The peppers mature from green to yellow and have unusual black seeds.
It is a very tall variety reaching 1.2m and although has a strong central stem will require staking as the peppers are heavy. It has large hairy leaves and very attractive purple flowers.
Rocoto Yellow comes from the Andes region of Peru where it is called 'Manzano' meaning ‘apple’. It is sometimes called 'Canario ' and is used a lot in Caribbean cooking.
