Tabasco chillies are used to make the famous Tabasco hot chilli sauce which has a dry smoky taste so useful for spicing up & adding flavour to food.
Tabasco chilli plants are very pretty as the peppers mature at different stages and ripen from greeny-yellow to orange to red. The very hot small chillies are held upright on the plant and measure 2.5-3cm long by 1cm.
They taste great fresh but are also excellent dried. It does mature late therefore sow early to ensure good yields.
A great variety for connoisseurs.
